Tabby LaRasa has been performing burlesque with her home troupe of Effie’s Club Follies for five years. With a background in theatrical performance and dance she enjoys balancing the dramatic and the comedic and playing with the expectations of audiences to present a unique and hopefully unforgettable stage show. She enjoys exploring darker themes with a sly wink and a nod and bringing humor to the morbid and absurd. She also enjoys elaborate headgear and making the impossible possible with a heavy application of craft foam.
Tabby’s primary goal though burlesque is to expand audience’s opinions of ‘beauty’, ‘humor’, and ‘art’, pushing people to see those things on the stage when she performs as well as the potential within themselves to possess the same qualities.
Tabby’s birthday is November 8.
